Founded in 2016 by Ryan Harrington, Las Vegas Whiskey Drinkers and Collectors is a not-for-profit group dedicated to helping local enthusiasts acquire great whiskey to be enjoyed with friends & family. The group was the first of its kind in Las Vegas and has since grown to over 1800 members. Over the years, the group has evolved and is well known for selecting excellent private barrel picks. These private barrels are chosen by a small group of enthusiasts who have a sophisticated palate for selecting unique and delicious whiskey. They travel to distilleries to taste through multiple samples. Often times, samples are taken straight from the barrel with a whiskey thief creating an authentic experience. By using a process of elimination they identify crowd-pleasers and sometimes very unique barrels, purchase them, then share the bottles with the rest of the group. One of the main benefits of being a member is the opportunity to connect with fellow enthusiasts to try new and unique whiskeys that may not be available to the general public. Members also have access to special tastings and educational events about whiskey. The group provides a sense of community for its members. We organize exclusive bottle share events where members are encouraged to bring their own whiskey to share, there is always a great selection of bottles for sampling!
